SPIRALS NEWS
Solstice, Rivers, and Ripples of Community…
As the seasons begin to turn and the leaves start to crisp up, I wanted to take a little moment after the high energy of Summer to pause, reflect, gather and honour. This summer round-up is a chance to share some of what’s been unfolding at Spirals — the events, the learnings, the connections and moments of magic — and to offer a small glimpse of what’s to come as we move into Autumn and Winter.
With spirals of love, Anna xx
SOLSTICE RIVER RITUAL
At the start of summer, I co-hosted a river ritual with some wonderful water-loving folk here in Somerset. Together we gathered in ceremony around a central altar created by my dear friend and floral artist, Kitten Grayson.
It was a very special day — honouring the creativity of nature and the waters that connect us all. Alongside our love and appreciation for water’s beauty, we also shared around our grief for the world in times of conflict and complexity, sending our prayers as ripples out into the community and beyond.
The connecting, healing, and restorative power of water is a deep current in my art practice — and many ripples continue to flow from that gathering.
If you’d like to join future river rituals, please get in touch and I’ll add you to the circle.
NEW SUSTAINABLE SPIRALWEAR
Thank you to everyone who ordered Spiral merch! It’s been such a joy to spot tees spiralling around Somerset and beyond.
This summer I made some tester baby garms for my friend’s beautiful new arrival Ziggy — and they were so loved that I decided to share them more widely.
✨ Introducing the ‘ZIGGY’ Baby Tee and Dribble Bib — now available HERE on the Spirals site (with local pick up and UK postal options) The perfect sustainable gift for new little spirals.

I AM A DAILY WORK IN PROGRESS — JOURNAL
A nod to the spiral path of life — its ups, downs, and one-day-at-a-time rhythm.
To accompany the much-loved I Am a Daily Work in Progress tee, I’ve created a journal I truly love. Lined pages, lies flat, made from ethical and sustainable pulp. It’s simple, beautiful, and crafted with lots of care.
SOLSCISTERS DJING
Our new female DJ collective has had such a magical first summer — from a gallery set at Bo Lee Workman, to soundtracking a National Trust x Plastic Free Woolacombe beach clean, to our ongoing residency at Roth Bar.
✨ Next dates: Sat 27th Sept & Sat 25th Oct
We play 6–11pm, free entry. Sit cosy in a booth, or come and dance with us at the front. Everyone welcome.
We’re also honoured to have been asked to create a special radio show for our friends over at Amateurism Radio, airing on the Autumn Equinox.

COMMUNITY SAUNA
Delighted to share that dear Spirals friend Grace at Wild Joy has announced a new community sauna opening this Saturday 27th September! A beautiful and nourishing addition to local life. More info here and to book a session - You can follow the project here.
WOMANCE… THE RETURN…!
WOMANCE is coming back to Bruton in its OG location at the Chapel - Sunday 26th October.
Beyond the pre-loved sales and inspring more circular and conscious patterns of consumption my intention has always been to create a warm, inclusive gathering — to clear stagnant energy in our homes and lives, connect people locally, and spark positive creative flow in our community.
✨ If you’d like a stall, please email truewomance@hotmail.com
If you don’t already follow WOMANCE you can do so HERE.
Free Craniosacral Therapy Sessions with Tamara Jones
As part of her two-year training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy at Body College, SPIRALS collaborator Tamara Jones is offering free practice sessions.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the body’s natural rhythms to release tension and trauma. Using light touch, the therapist “listens” to the body in the same way a psychotherapist listens to words—helping the nervous system settle and supporting self-healing. Many people experience deep relaxation, improved sleep, reduced pain, and a greater sense of balance and vitality.
Sessions currently take place at Tamara’s home in Frome. She is also seeking possible spaces to practise in Bruton.
To find out more or book a session, please email: tamaraelliot.jones@gmail.com
Thank you for reading and there will be more Spirals community offers and invitations coming very soon…
