WHY SPIRALS. WHY NOW?

I’ve been obsessed with spirals for well over a decade now—
thanks in large part to my years co-creating Patternity since 2009.

Eventually, it felt time to turn that lifelong love into something more tangible—
rooted in the land and community where I now live.

As an artist and creativity coach, I envisioned Spirals as both a studio and a living experiment.
It began as a physical store—celebrating aesthetics, art, nature, beauty, and circular design—
but also as a playful and curious connecting space for gathering, questioning, and co-creating.

It was a season of learning, experimenting, and deep growth.
A place to test ideas, meet in real life, and explore the fertile glitches between art and ancestry,
commerce and care, the sacred and the everyday.

My intention was always that Spirals could support us in gently shifting linear, habitual patterns—
and help others (and myself!) reconnect with deeper creative purpose.

I believe we’re living through a pivotal time—
an era defined by rigid, black-and-white thinking, of separateness and sameness.
The spiral offers us something different:
a symbol of reconnection, rhythm, and renewal.

It reminds us that creativity is not linear—
it's cyclical, relational, embodied, and alive.

Now that the shop has closed, Spirals is evolving.
The spirit remains—just in new forms.

This online space is a continuation of the experiment:
an emergent, living archive and growing platform for spirally living.
A place for gatherings, offerings, soulful products, and deeper creative alignment.

I believe the world needs rituals and containers to help us explore the spaces between:
the material and the energetic, the personal and the collective,
the seen and the unseen rhythms that connect and unify us all.

Spirals is one of them.
An invitation to slow down, spiral in, and spiral out—together.

Spirals went fallow after Christmas—
a natural pause to reflect, listen, and reconnect with the wider vision behind the physical space.

This time of rest has been part of the spiral too.

Now, new shoots are emerging.
There will be many more offerings to come—for those who feel the call
to spiral inward, and spiral outward—together.

With love,

SPIRALS MANIFESTO

We all walk a spiral path. Universal yet deeply personal. The spiral is the infinite nature of growth, the soothing cycle of life. A seed emerging…dna forming…a galaxy swirling…the seasons changing. The beauty of life unfolding. In remembering we are of the spiral we restore our place as unique creative entities in an endless state of transformation. We spiral together interconnected on this Earth; living, breathing fractals, swirling through the ether, guided by the glow of the same sun. Living in tune with the spiral reminds us that each challenge is an opportunity to journey within…to reflect, to listen, learn and shed the patterns we have outgrown. The spiral is the symbol of rebirth and trust. The darkest hour comes before dawn.. A space to greet our shadows with gratitude and grace. From here we arrive at a new threshold; expanding once again with a vision of what is possible. Flowing freely into the light of who we are here to be.
